A car fell into a sinkhole in a London road on Thursday morning – leading to fears that local residents would have to be evacuated.Residents in the Greenwich street said they heard a sound similar to a thunder at around 0300 GMT when a large hole opened up in the ground outside.A blue Vauxhall Zafira car was partially swallowed up by it and was resting on a utilities pipe which has prevented it from falling all the way in.
