The Metropolitan Police Crime Division has arrested a migrant worker leaving for foreign employment for the first time with a re-entry visa, from Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu on Monday.The migrant worker, who was leaving the country for the first time for overseas employment, had re-entry stamped in his visa. Police have suspected that foreign employment entrepreneurs could have colluded with Foreign Employment Department officals to get access to the re-entry stamp of the worker’s visa.The MPCD, after the arrest at TIA, raided the Foreign Employment Department office and is conducting an investigation at the Tahachal-based Labour Permit Division office.Police have said that they conducted the raid as an illegal action of this type could have been carried out only with the involvement of department officials.
